All form parts of the model are made from the lightweight and strong material HypoDur®. Besides the painting all, also the decoration on fuselage, main wing and horizontal stabilizer is applied already.

The model gets driven by a powerful impeller unit. Here, the brushless motor is streamlined into the unit and is perfectly cooled by the airflow. The impeller is integrated in the rear part of the fuselage. Via a hatch on the bottom of the fuselage, which also works as a support for the main wing, the impeller unit is easily accessible.

At both sides of the fuselage there are two large air intakes, so that the impeller gets enough air in order to “breathe“. To control the brushless motor, a Skywalker 40A ESC made by Hobbywing is installed. The impeller unit is designed for 3s LiPo battery at 11,1V. In this configuration the interceptor shows a breathtaking performance in the air.

The model is controlled by elevator and ailerons. All control flaps are linked by 3 micro servos, which are installed ready to fly in the model. All flaps are designed as a gapless elastoflaps.

The one-piece main wing features two carbon-fiber bars, giving maximum strength for high G-forces. So the model can fly extremely hard maneuvers with fast cornering.

The large canopy is held by two strong magnets on the fuselage. By removing the canopy, the RC components and the battery are easy to access. So it is very comfortable to change the battery when you are out on the airfield.

The launch of the model is accomplished by a strong throw out of your hand. Doing so, the model speeds up easily without showing any tendency to stall.

Unlike many other impeller jets, the Hype Interceptor has an amazing flying speed and a comfortable control response. Powerful deep maneuvers and flyovers speed up the heart beat of pilots and spectators as well. The awesome silhouette of the Interceptor turns each flight into an extraordinary experience! For landing, you have to approach the model is with approx. 30% power. Over the runway just reduce the power and pull the elevator slowly to the end – that‘s so easy…!
