Hacker TL96 Sky Star Ultralight

This cute little model from Hacker Model Production is a scale model of an ultralight manufactured in the Czech Republic. A little web research turned up the website of the manufacturer of the full size aircraft, the TL-96 ultralight. A little more looking turned up some pictures of the full size aircraft. The Star sure doesn’t fit into the U.S. ultralight aircraft category! It is typical of a modern, composite construction light aircraft. The fuselage is contoured to fit around the passengers and motor with the least drag. The wing is constant chord with unusual, upswept wing tips. The Star is designed around the Rotax 912 series and 914 Turbo engines, so that limits the available power to about 115 hp when using the 914 Turbo.
